We live in tempestuous and increasingly dark days. Crisis follows crisis. Disaster follows disaster. Fear drives the nations in their decisions. The ancient truths that have been the spiritual foundation of western nations for centuries are being over thrown in favour of a secular society which denies the existence of God and has no respect for His truth.

 

Into the spiritual vacuum has come the New Age and a resurgence of new and old religions.  The existence of Israel is once again under dire threat. And humanism – the emergence of man as being his own god and saviour – is becoming the dominant force in world politics. The Church is in turmoil.

 

BUT, in the midst of all this , God is preparing His Church for action – for a new reformation. He is shaking the heavens and the earth (Hebrews 12:26). He is preparing for break through!

 

Those with eyes to see and ears to hear know that God is on the move. This is the time for a new reformation within the church, standing firmly on the Word of God and responding to the move of His Spirit.  David learned how important it was to listen for the Lord's instructions. God told him to advance when he heard the 'sound of marching' in the leaves of the mulberry trees.

 

We are strongly sensing that with the increasing spiritual darkness on so many fronts, both inside and outside the church, that God will soon be "shaking the mulberry trees" to mobilise His Church for urgent action.
