Jesus is our comfort and joy at all seasons. However, over-eating can bring false comfort to cover the pain of broken relationships, rejections and memories of abuse. As the 'comfort' wears off, more eating is required, gradually leading to addiction. Diets will not work long term. In this teaching Peter shares how Jesus wishes to dig into the roots of a person's pain, in order to bring healing to the heart. This needs to occur before the body comes into line with normal eating.
